Musical Symphonies

What an amazing way to start the new school term! This week, Youth4Youth were glad to hold a session on music and technology for two primary schools: ESF Quarry Bay School and ESF Bradbury School! We were able to engage young Y4 to Y6 students in fun, hands-on activities where they explored popular softwares that are being used in industry and learnt how they work.

We started off the session by teaching the students how to create basic rhythms and harmonies, before they learnt how to use these skills to create simple musical compositions. The students started off by exploring Chrome Music Lab where they played around with rhythm, harmony and arpeggio. The students then applied all of these skills and knowledge to create a composition on Ocean Waves, a musical composition software. It was great to hear the students' symphonies!
